Modular & Container Leasing Insurance
Lease in Peace. . . Have peace of mind knowing that you and your Lessee’s are protected!
Our leasing insurance program was developed specifically for Lessors of semi-trailers, modular units, and/or containers. Standard insurance policies such as: business owners, general liability, automobile, and property do not adequately cover companies who lease semi-trailers, modular units, and/or containers. You need a custom insurance product to protect your company and Allen Insurance Group can provide it to you. Call us today at 800-922-5536 to get started.
A Glimpse into the Program
As a modular/container dealer, have you ever wished for an online, point-of-sale general liability product that charges a daily rate for your Lessees? With our program, their daily rental rate starts from the time the lease is activated until the lease is terminated. Every sales office can have access to this program and you can track all of the information any time online. Also, you can issue certificates of insurance to customers immediately and bill the cost into their monthly lease payment so the process is seamless. This is an INSURANCE PRODUCT, not a waiver, and it provides your customers with coverage on a primary basis from dollar one, with no deductible, and at one low rate. With limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate and premises medical payments, our product will satisfy your lease requirements and remove your need to track certificates.
General Liability Coverage
General liability or third-party liability is the greatest exposure you will face as a modular/container dealer. A general liability policy covers bodily injury or property damage arising from the operation of the named insured on the policy. Since companies like yours own their units but do not necessarily occupy them, your general liability policy does not extend to third parties. If a third party is injured on a leased property, chances are they are going to sue you as the owner of the modular/container dealership, as well as the Lessee. If the Lessee does not have sufficient limits to cover the claim or they do not have insurance at all, the legal responsibility for the claim falls on you as the modular/container dealer. Some dealers carry contingent liability to respond to this exposure, but if a current certificate of insurance is not on file for each customer, there is no responsibility for the contingent policy to pay. In other words, if you have a certificate that has expired, you may be expected to pay the claim and all defense expenses. This can be very costly to your business. Allen Insurance Group can help protect you and your dealership, giving you the opportunity to lease in peace!
Other Coverages
Other coverages can be built into your policy as needed, such as:
-
Property Coverage
-
Manufacturer’s Exposure
-
Transit Coverage
Imagine the convenience of offering your Lessees insurance coverage that doesn’t require you to track certificates or deal with the headache of cancellations. Issuing certificates at the point-of-sale is just one of many conveniences offered by this unique program.
